June 28, 2012 Monday - Thursday Seabass & Ling Fishing
Monday 6/25
Today started off a little wet, but after a a couple T-storms passed it turned out to be a decent day. We started of Seabass fishing and that was nothing special, we picked a few here and there before heading off to the deeper Ling grounds where we had much better fishing. After loading up on some Ling we had a couple of good drifts for Seabass before heading in for the day.
Tuesday 6/26
The wind was howling out of the NW today and we were limited to where we could comfortably fish. We fished up and down the East Rockaway beach where the seas were fairly calm considering all the wind, but the fishing was pretty slow just about everywhere we went today.
Wednesday 6/27
Still had a good NW breeze but the ocean was pretty calm and we fished off the NJ shore all day today. We picked at Seabass all morning making a lot of drops, some were ok some kind of quiet, but everyone managed at least a a few keeper Seabass. We finished up the day on a couple of deeper drops and eveyone filled any emty space in their bucket with some hefty Ling and a keeper Cod took the pool !
Thursday 6/28
The wind finally let up and we were able to do some drifting for Seabass this morning. The Seabass came in spurts not real steady action but everyone managed a few before we headed out to the deep and put some nice Ling in the boat before heading in.
Still picking at some Blues, Weakfish and Stripers on the night trips.
